Learning about pronouns

What is a Pronoun?

A pronoun is a word that replaces a noun to avoid repetition.

Examples:

  • I
  • You
  • He
  • She
  • It
  • We
  • They

Example:

Sarah is my friend. She likes reading.

Instead of repeating "Sarah", we use "She".

Types of Pronouns:

  • Personal: I, you, he, she
  • Possessive: mine, yours, theirs
  • Interrogative: who, what, which
